Overview The Master of Information Management is integrated with a Certificate (45 points) or Postgraduate Diploma of Information Management (120 points) that provide stepping-stones to the full Master of Information Management for those who cannot commit to the entire programme. Postgraduate Diploma in Information Management The Postgraduate Diploma in Information Management consists of the three Certificate courses plus five optional courses from the list below for a total of 120 points. MMIM 510 Information Systems Management (15pts) MMIM 511 Emerging Information Technologies (15pts) MMIM 512 Strategic Information Management (15pts) MMIM 513 Managing IT-related Change (15pts) MMIM 514 Management of Information Systems Projects (15pts) MMIM 520 Managing e-Business (15pts) MMIM 521 Strategy and the e-Enterprise (15pts) MMIM 522 Globalisation and e-Business (15pts) MMIM 523 Cyberspace Marketing (15pts) MMIM 524 Multimedia Tools and Technologies (15pts) MMIM 530 Knowledge Organisation and Discovery (15pts) MMIM 531 Building Digital Collections (15pts) MMIM 532 Information Policy (15pts) MMIM 533 Document Management (15pts) MMIM 534 Web and Intranet Content Management (15pts) MMIM 541 Cross-cultural Information Management (15pts) MMIM 542 Organisational Communication (15pts) MMIM 571 Legal and Ethical Issues in Information Management (15pts) MMIM 580 Special Topic in Information Management (15pts) Every candidate for the Postgraduate Diploma shall complete the requirements within three years of first enrolment, provided that the Programme Director may, in special cases, extend the period. A candidate who has been awarded the Postgraduate Certificate is required to abandon that qualification upon the award of the Postgraduate Diploma.
