About the Certificate The CertTESOL is intended for graduates, or people who are about to graduate, who do not have teaching experience. This is a full-time one-trimester course offered during the summer trimester. The CertTESOL provides a grounding in the basic skills of language teaching methodology, classroom management and course design, while providing the opportunity to observe skilled language teachers and to prepare and present lessons to learners of English as a second language. It thus provides knowledge and experience. The CertTESOL involves up to 13 hours per week of class contact. The summer trimester runs from mid November to mid February, with a mid-trimester break around Christmas and New Year. Exact trimester dates vary from year to year. Entry Requirements You must be a graduate or about to graduate.
