About the Graduate Diploma in Special Needs Resource Teaching A diploma designed to provide appropriate professional development for experienced teachers who work in schools as resource personnel in the area of special education. It is a specialist graduate qualification that will improve the educational experience of special needs students. This qualification involves two years to four years of part time study. Entry Requirements Three years' teaching experience, and a degree of appropriate professional experience. Participants should currently be teaching in a classroom environment as an RTLB. Programme Requirements Four courses: | EDUC 561 | SNRT 801:Students in Contexts | | EDUC 562 | SNRT 802:Classroom in Contexts | | EDUC 563 | SNRT 803:School and Community Contexts | | EDUC 564 | SNRT 804:Professional Practice Portfolio | Assessment All EDUC/SNRT courses are internally assessed by assignments. There are no examinations. At the beginning of each course students receive a Course Outline. This contains all the necessary information about the course including the number of lectures and tutorials, the course content, recommended readings, and information about the assignments.
