As you progress in your business career new needs and challenges continually arise. Being equipped to meet those challenges is what the Master of Business Administration (MBA) is all about. The MBA is a postgraduate programme that provides a 'tool box' of skills, models and techniques for all the core functions of management. In particular, the MBA will provide a link to professional practice, to enable the development of people wanting to gain advanced management knowledge and capability.
Opportunities also exist for students to specialise in a particular discipline and extend their studies in that field. The areas available for specialisation are: Commercial Law, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Operations and Management. Students completing five electives in any particular discipline may graduate with an endorsement on their degree.

GRADUATION OUTCOMES
Graduates of the AUT MBA programme will master a wide range of business skills:
- A multi-disciplinary perspective coupled with knowledge and skills in the fields of accounting, business economics, finance, human resources management, information technology, law, marketing, operations management and strategy.
- Functional management knowledge and the skills needed to lead and manage organisations in a global business environment.
- A deep and well rounded appreciation of the New Zealand business environment and the place of small to medium business enterprises within this economy.
- The ability to analyse, formulate and evaluate strategies in an environment that requires quick, focused and considered responses to business problems.
