Overview
The Graduate Certificate in Intelligence is aimed at providing tertiary pathways for students either working in the intelligence community and wishing to embark on professional studies or, students seeking employment in the intelligence community and wanting to gain relevant tertiary qualifications. Through a range of pedagogically informed teaching strategies the program develops relevant professional competencies, skills and knowledge. The program is aimed at students with existing undergraduate qualifications but can be undertaken by students with extensive professional experience where that experience is assessed as appropriate by the course coordinator.

Entry Requirements
An appropriate undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution or a combination of professional experience and training that the Course Coordinator deems to be appropriate.

Course Requirements
The Graduate Certificate in Intelligence consists of four units of twelve credit points each: Justice and Human Rights; Intelligence Practice 1; Intelligence Practice 2; with one unit selected from Terrorism and Political Violence or Analytical Methods or Intelligence, or Just War Theory or National Security and Intelligence.

Articulation in Postgraduate Coursework Nested Programs
A student who has successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Intelligence with a GPA of 5.0 or better, may articulate to the Master of Justice (Intelligence) and receive academic credit of 48 credit points.

Currently enrolled QUT students in an articulating postgraduate coursework nested program (ie. completing Graduate Certificate in Intelligence and moving to the next level of study) are not requiried to complete a Postgraduate Application (PG) form. Student Business Services send an email to your student mailbox inviting currently enrolled students to articulate to the next stage of the program - Master of Justice (Intelligence).
