Taught by leading Australian and international academics, it broadens and deepens your professional understanding of both practical and theoretical responses to planning challenges. The program is suitable for professionals in planning and allied fields and for those interested in working as planners. The program includes studies in environmental development, land use, economic policy and social planning. The Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and Master of Urban and Environmental Planning with Honours are also available. Attendance Graduate Certificates may be completed full-time in Semester 1, or part-time over two or more semesters (up to the maximum of 2 years as stipulated by the University). The core courses in the Urban and Environmental Planning suite of programs are offered in on-campus mode and some courses are offered externally. Elective courses may be offered externally and on-campus. Professional recognition The Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and the Master of Urban and Environmental Planning with Honours are designed to meet the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) accreditation requirements for professional planners. The Graduate Certificate in Urban and Environmental Planning is not accredited with the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).
