About this program

The Graduate Certificate in International Business Administration is a 40CP program consisting of core courses from the International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program. The Graduate Certificate in International Business Administration is also an entry point into the 120CP IMBA (5458) program and an exit point from the 160CP IMBA (5457) program.

This program is designed to advance understanding and critical use of aspects of contemporary international affairs. It is relevant for those students wishing to undertake further academic studies including articulation into the IMBA.

Students will be required to complete a set of core courses designed to introduce them to threshold concepts central to effective business administration and as a 'building block' towards the IMBA.

Attendance

The Graduate Certificate in International Business Administration is offered full-time and part-time on campus at the Gold Coast campus. You may choose to study courses at other campuses if or where the program structure allows.

As a full-time student, you will generally attend 10-15 hours of scheduled classes per week throughout the semester.

International students must maintain a full-time study load.

International students must make themselves available to attend all Orientation Sessions commencing from day 1 of Orientation week. International students who cannot arrive in the country to begin studies by teaching week 1, must gain permission from the MBA Director to commence the program in that particular semester.

Career opportunities

This program increases the competency of managers to evaluate the appropriateness of advice provided externally and internally and to utilise that information to make decisions consistent with achieving sustainable outcomes for multiple international stakeholders.
