COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is intended for graduates who wish to develop their skills in the art of writing. Within the course, creative writing is construed much more broadly than simply the writing of fiction - it is regarded as a craft practised professionally in many domains.

These can include writing directly for publication, the stage, electronic media, advertising and public relations, desktop publishing, specialised forms of communication such as explaining and interpreting science and economics to the general public. It also includes writing media releases and brochures for official or commercial purposes, and editing. Creative writing is also an area for personal satisfaction, encompassing fiction, memoir, family history, verse and lyrics.
