The Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and Master of Urban and Environmental Planning with Honours are Australia's only postgraduate programs that equip you with the qualifications to work as a traditional town planner as well as an environmental professional. Taught by leading Australian and international academics in urban and regional planning, environmental planning, transport planning, social and cultural planning, and tourism planning, the programs cover the theoretical knowledge and practical skills planners need to deal effectively with contemporary planning and development challenges. Professional recognition The Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and the Master of Urban and Environmental Planning with Honours are designed to meet the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) accreditation requirements for professional planners. The Graduate Certificate in Urban and Environmental Planning is not accredited with the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA). Career opportunities This program meets the accreditation requirements of the Planning Institute of Australia. The program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to emerging planning and development challenges.
