| COURSE DESCRIPTION |
This pre-service teacher education course prepares graduates to teach in primary and secondary schools in all areas of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards in the years of compulsory schooling. At VCE level the areas in which graduates will be qualified to teach are determined by the major or sub-major streams studied in their undergraduate degree(s). LOTE method is available as an optional additional teaching method and requires a major in the language to advanced level.
The course provides foundation studies in education and studies to VCE level in two curriculum areas which build on specific double major, major and sub-major studies in the applicant's degree(s). The course involves full-time attendance at the University between 9am and 4pm, five days a week for most of the Victorian school year.
