SPECIAL ADMISSION

Applicants over 20 years of age who do not hold a university entrance qualification (such as NCEA or CIE above) may qualify for university entrance via Special Admission.

 

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for whom English or Maori is not their first language are required to provide proof of an acceptable pass/grade gained in an accepted English language test.

This is the only Bachelor of Business course in New Zealand that provides a Major in Advertising and is the qualification for a career in the dynamic, global advertising industry. It is supported and endorsed by the New Zealand advertising industry which plays an active part in its content and an active interest in the students who graduate. It is also the only degree in New Zealand accredited by the International Advertising Association (IAA) which means that all graduates are awarded an internationally recognised IAA Diploma in Marketing Communications in addition to the Bachelor of Business.

In the Advertising major you will learn the principles and the practices that drive this thriving industry, as well as the communication, persuasion and team skills you'll personally need to succeed. You'll learn about the advertising industry, how advertising works and its role within the whole marketing communications mix.
