The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business conjoint degree is for high achieving students who are interested in studying degrees from both Arts and Business. It provides an opportunity to study two complementary programmes, allowing students to graduate with the equivalent of two University degrees in a reduced time frame. By combining these degrees, students will greatly expand their knowledge base, as well as broaden future career opportunities. Any of the arts majors can be combined with a range of business majors, including accounting, advertising, business economics, commercial law, e-business, information technology, international business, management, marketing, sales and tourism. Programme Code: AK3701 Level: 7 Points: 360 Duration: Four years full time / Equivalent part time Venue: City Campus Starting date: 3 March 2008 / 21 July 2008 Application deadline: 16 November 2007 / 27 June 2008 AUT encourages early application. Late applications will be accepted if the programme is not full. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Students admitted to the conjoint degree programme must meet the requirements for entry set by each of the component degrees. Interview may be required. Note: Entrance to university does not guarantee admission to a specific programme of study. SPECIAL ADMISSION Applicants over 20 years of age who do not hold a university entrance qualification (such as NCEA or CIE above) may qualify for university entrance via Special Admission. ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Applicants for whom English or Māori is not their first language are required to provide proof of an acceptable pass/grade gained in an accepted English language test.
