Overview Interior architects design the inside spaces we live and move about in - shops, homes, cafes, offices, theatres - even corridors. Studying interior architecture at Victoria you'll be studying how to create stimulating and exciting physical, cultural, and emotional environments for people. And where will you study? A building that is an inspiration in itself. The Faculty of Architecture and Design in central Wellington is located in a former cargo warehouse, converted into an award-winning and breathtaking space for serious students of design. Inside you'll find the most contemporary studios, computer workstations, workshops, technical laboratories, and design library in the country, to make your vision a reality. Interior Architecture is a specialisation within the Bachelor of Design [BDes]. In your first year you'll gain a basic grounding in design strategies and skills. After that you specialise with courses closely related to this discipline. Undergraduate Information First-year courses See Design for first-year (100 level) Design courses.
