The Graduate Diploma in Asia-Pacific Studies facilitates one year study abroad as a supplement to the Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies and Bachelor of Security Analysisdegrees. As the Graduate Diploma can only be done concurrently with a Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies degree or Bachelor of Security Analysis degree, students who are interested in this program should apply through UAC for one of those base degrees first. |

For single Bachelor degree programs, admission is based on successful completion of 16 College courses (96 units), including language courses to a sufficient proficiency level, at an overall high credit average or better; for combined degree programs, admission is based on successful completion of 12 College courses (72 units), at an overall high credit average or better. Selection is approved by the Director on advice from the relevant program convenor. Degree Structure This Graduate Diploma is a one-year, eight course (48 units) study abroad program. It is a combined degree with the Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies or Bachelor of Security Analysis leading to a deeper and richer understanding and fluency in a regional language and the context of the region. Students take the equivalent of 48 units in language and disciplinary studies at an overseas university or equivalent institution. Students also satisfy assessment requirements of the College to confirm a sufficient level of attainment while abroad. Students will be eligible for the award upon successful completion of these requirements.
