Aim

The program is designed to develop graduates who are able to identify, evaluate, develop and manage computer-based electronic commerce systems for industry, business or public administration.

 

Entry requirements

Applicants would normally have completed a bachelor degree, or equivalent qualification.

 

For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic): Minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing subscores and minimum overall score of 6.5 obtained within the last two years or corresponding results from an equivalent test such as TOEFL or the appropriate Academic English language level delivered at CELUSA; or
Successful completion of a tertiary qualification at diploma level or above completed in Australia within the last two years; or
Successful completion of two or more years of tertiary study at diploma level or above conducted and completed in English within the last five years in a country in which:

  • English is an official language; or
  • English is commonly used, as determined by the University.

Where the study in English was more than five years ago, this requirement may be satisfied by subsequent and recent work experience of two or more years duration in a setting where English is the language of business subject to satisfactory evidence as determined by the Program Director.

 

Content/structure

The program consists of 8 courses totalling 36 units. The program is also available for part-time study.

 

Professional recognition

This program has been accredited by the Australian Computer Society.

Fee information

Fees for International students: $AU 19,500 per 1.0 EFTSL for students commencing in 2010.
Fees are calculated on a per Unit basis with 1.0 EFTSL = 36 Units.
Fees for International students are determined one year in advance and are subject to variation.

  1. Applications should be directed to the School of Computer and Information Science.
  2. Elective courses are offered subject to student demand and staff availability. Postgraduate courses offered within the University of South Australia of from other universities may be substituted for the elective course(s) with the permission of the Program Director.
