Program Code: DCHU Program Level: Postgraduate Home Campus: City West Program Length (in EFTSL): 0.5 AimThe program provides a structured introduction to the core areas of operational Human Resource Management practice, and the business and organisational context in which it occurs. Entry requirementsApplicants will have one of the following: Six years relevant work experience; Four years relevant work experience and a Cert V Diploma in a relevant discipline; Two years relevant work experience and a Certificate VI Advanced Diploma in a relevant discipline; Any undergraduate degree or higher qualification.
English language entry requirements For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are : International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic): Minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing sub scores and minimum overall score of 6.5 obtained within the last two years or corresponding results from an equivalent test such as TOEFL or the appropriate Academic English language level delivered at CELUSA OR Successful completion of a tertiary qualification at bachelor level or above completed in Australia within the last two years; OR Successful completion of at least two years of tertiary study at bachelor level or above conducted and completed in English within the last five years in a country in which: - English is an official language; or
- English is commonly used, as determined by the University.
Where the study in English was more than five years ago, this requirement may be satisfied by subsequent and recent work experience of at least two years duration in a setting where English is the language of business subject to satisfactory evidence as determined by the University. Content/structureTo qualify for the award students must complete three core courses and one elective course for a total of 18 units. Professional recognitionWe intend to apply for accreditation for the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Mangement in mid 2009. Fee informationFees for International students: $AU 9,960 per 0.5 EFTSL for students commencing in 2010. Fees are calculated on a per Unit basis with 1.0 EFTSL = 36 Units. Fees for International students are determined one year in advance and are subject to variation.

RulesThis program requires students to complete three core course, and one elective course, unless otherwise approved by the Program Director.
Students who have a background, or previous studies, in a particular course may substitute a course of equal value and standing with the approval of the Program Director.
