Aim

Graduates will have a range of skills relevant to the management of organisations in the future. They will have particular expertise in the application of information technology in a management environment, together with the relevant analytical techniques to use information effectively in decision making.

Entry requirements

Students need to have completed the first two years of the Bachelor of Business (Management of Information Technology) achieving at least a credit average and pass an interview to be eligible for this program. Consideration will be given to students who have completed at least two years of another undergraduate degree provided it has a similar mix of business, information technology, information systems and management courses.

For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic): obtain a minimum overall score of 6.0 obtained within the last two years or corresponding results from an equivalent test such as TOEFL or the appropriate Academic English language level delivered at CELUSA; or

Successful completion of a secondary qualification in Australia within the last two years; or
Successful completion of at least one year of tertiary study in Australia within the last two years; or
Successful completion of one year of secondary or tertiary study conducted and completed in English within the last two years in a country in which:

  • English is an official language; or
  • English is commonly used, as determined by the University.

This program has been accredited by the Australian Computer Society.

Fee information

Fees for International students: $AU 18,200 per 1.0 EFTSL for students commencing in 2010.
Fees are calculated on a per Unit basis with 1.0 EFTSL = 36 Units.
Fees for International students are determined one year in advance and are subject to variation.

Notes

  1. Students will be expected to attend program seminars as scheduled by staff and industry partners.
  2. If the student has already fulfilled the Broadening Undergraduate Education requirement this course may be replaced by an elective with the approval of the Program Director.
  3. Not all courses may be offered in all study periods.
  4. Students graduating from this program are eligible for entry to the Master of Business Information Systems.
