THE KEY SKILLS YOU WILL ACQUIRE

The Māori Development major aims to combine a multi-disciplinary study of development within culturally diverse communities, with particular emphasis on those that are Māori. The programme integrates research, management, business, communications and technology and is based on the relationship between theory and practice. Accordingly, critical evaluation of the relevance and application of a range of theories to contemporary Māori communities and their development is a feature of this programme. The opportunity to undertake a site-based research project enables students to critically analyse theoretical knowledge and test its application to new situations.
