High-achieving undergraduate students have the opportunity to enter this one year honours programme. This degree can provide accelerated entry into masters or doctoral study or enhance practice or employment opportunities. Potential students will be identified at the end of their second year of the Bachelor of Health Science, where they will be encouraged to gain the necessary entry requirements during their third year of study. If students achieve the criteria they will be eligible to enter the Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) on completion of their undergraduate degree.
The BHSc(Hons) has a specific pathway for psychology students, who can add two years’ postgraduate study to their honours degree in order to meet registration board requirements.

The deadline for first round applications to the Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) in Psychology (AK3662), is fast approaching.
Applications need to be lodged by 5pm Friday 2 November, 2007.
This is offered to those unable to attend the recent session on 2 October and is a repeat of that presentation with time for a Q & A.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- The normal educational requirement for admission is completion of a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline, with an overall grade of at least B+ in 45 points at Level 7 or equivalent
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for whom English or Māori is not their first language are required to provide proof of an acceptable pass/grade gained in an accepted English language test.
