The Master of Career Development provides experienced career practitioners with postgraduate level study designed to develop advanced practice skills, and the skills and knowledge to contribute to their profession in leadership roles.

Duration: One year full time / Up to six years part time
Venue: Papers are offered via on-line learning with weekend intensives at the Wellesley campus.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A three year undergraduate degree and a 120 point qualification in career development from a New Zealand tertiary institution, or equivalent, and three years relevant, full time, professional career practice experience. An interview may be required.

 

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for whom English or Māori is not their first language are required to provide proof of an acceptable pass/grade gained in an accepted English language test.

  • Engage in professional career practice that meets the obligations of the Treaty of Waitangi

Graduates of the Master of Career Development are prepared to enter career practice and leadership roles in education, government, health, corporate and private practice settings.
