About Singapore

Education system
The two public universities each has more than 20,000 students and they provide a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes including doctoral degrees. Both are also established research universities with thousands of research staff and graduate students. There are also reputable private universities. First degrees are 3-4 years and second degrees 1 year.

The academic year in Singapore runs from late July/August to early May. Generally, the semesters run from July to November and January to May.
