Equip yourself for a career at the forefront of human health, industry and the environment. The Applied Microbiology major covers basic microbiological techniques and includes environmental microbiology, industrial uses of microbiology and biotechnology, molecular biology, food-borne diseases and food safety. ENTRY REQUIREMENT - University Entrance (UE) is the minimum entry requirement and science subjects are useful but not required.
- Preferred subjects at Level 3 on entry: Biology, Chemistry, Statistics and Modelling.
THE KEY SKILLS YOU WILL ACQUIRE
You will acquire a broad understanding of microbiology used in New Zealand industry along with supporting knowledge of one or more supporting fields.
