Chemistry is a rapidly developing field, with new technologies emerging and being applied to a wide range of industries. The degree covers a range of chemistry principles, with an emphasis on analytical techniques. Environmental, food chemistry and biochemistry topics are covered and process engineering is introduced. You will acquire a broad understanding of chemistry used in New Zealand industry along with supporting knowledge of one or more industry related fields. You will also have practical laboratory skills and you will be skilled in report writing, presentations and statistical data analysis. ENTRY REQUIREMENT - University Entrance (UE) is the minimum entry requirement and science subjects are useful but not required.
- Preferred subjects at Level 3 on entry: Biology, Chemistry, Statistics and Modelling.
