The aim of the programme is to provide vocational training in violence, abuse and trauma for people working in social service settings - in particular the health and justice sector, and community agencies that offer crisis intervention. The programme allows students to develop an understanding of theory and practice in this field and the skills and thinking necessary to enhance work practice. All papers in the diploma are available for credit towards the Bachelor of Health Science in Applied Mental Health.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for whom English or Māori is not their first language are required to provide proof of an acceptable pass/grade gained in an accepted English language test.
