Program Code: 5675 Commencement: Semester 1 (March) or Semester 2 (July) Program Duration: 1 year Estimated Annual Tuition Fees: A$17,460 This Graduate Diploma program is a specialist program comprising environmental courses offered by the Faculty. Specialisation is achieved by undertaking study in one or two environmental streams of the program, although some flexibility in courses may be permitted at the discretion of the Program Co-ordinator. The program focuses on the nature of environmental problems and the methodology of their evaluation and management. Emphasis is placed on the development of relevant skills in environmental analysis and planning. The programs are primarily intended for students with a background in science or engineering. However, students with other degrees who have undertaken undergraduate level environmental courses and/or have professional experience in an environmental area may apply for entry. Entry RequirementsA recognised three-year Bachelor degree or equivalent in a field relevant to environmental studies, or a four-year Bachelor degree in any discipline. Program StructureThis program requires a total of 36 units of credit (UOC), which may be taken in on-campus mode or by distance education. However, the range of elective courses available via distance education is more restricted than that available in on-campus mode. It is the second stage in an articulated sequence of Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Science and Technology programs in Environmental Science.
