Program Code: 7439 Commencement: Semester 1 (March) or Semester 2 (July) Program Duration: 6 months Estimated Tuition Fees: A$11,640 This Graduate Certificate program is intended to provide professionals from other disciplines with an awareness of the principles of ergonomics sufficient for them to be able to identify ergonomics problems in human-technology-environment systems and to be able to recommend a user-centred, systems approach to their assessment and control. Entry RequirementsA recognised Bachelor degree in a related area or an equivalent qualification at an acceptable level. Other academic and/or professional qualifications may be considered. Program StructureThe program consists of courses totalling 48 units of credit (UOC). It is the first stage in an articulated sequence of Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Science and Technology programs in Ergonomics. Fundamental Knowledge Courses (6 UOC) UANAT6151 Introductory Functional Anatomy 3 SESC6110 Physical Principles of Safety 1 3 Students with no statistics in their background will have to do the following course in addition to the above load: SESC6010 Descriptive Statistics 3 Plus Core Courses (18 UOC) SESC9101 Occupational Health and Safety 6 SESC9201 Safety Risk Management 6 SESC9411 Principles of Ergonomics 6
