Program Code: 5307 Commencement: Semester 1 (March) or Semester 2 (July) Program Duration: 1 year Estimated Annual Tuition Fees: A$21,120 Program StructureStudents must complete eight courses which include 2 prescribed major core courses, 1 core theory course (SAHT9141), 2 studio major core courses (from the same disciplinary area as the prescribed core major courses), and 3 electives, 1 of which shall be a studio based course. Program DescriptionThe main discipline areas within which students can major are: Painting; Drawing; Printmaking; Sculpture, Performance and Installation; Photomedia; and Time-Based Art. Interdisciplinary practice is encouraged and research excellence promoted. In addition to becoming practising artists, graduates from this degree are employed in many areas, such as the photographic industry, theatre and television producers, prop makers, digital and sound technology industry, making of films and documentaries, video and multimedia industries as well as working in galleries or museums. Entry RequirementsThe normal requirement for entry is a recognised Bachelor degree. In exceptional cases an applicant who submits evidence of other academic and professional qualifications may be considered for admission. These applicants must submit a portfolio of their artwork and CV.
