Technology education graduates are in high demand. This is the only fully integrated program in Queensland that will prepare you for a teaching career in technology education, industrial technology and design, technology studies, graphics and engineering technology. Your academic studies (in both Technology and Education courses) will be extended to encompass significant off-campus professional experience so you can become competent and confident in classroom teaching. The Bachelor of Technology Education is the only fully integrated program of its kind in Queensland and graduates enjoy a high employment rate. An Honours strand which may be undertaken in Years 3 and 4 is also an option for those students who meet the necessary academic criteria. Attendance The Bachelor of Technology Education is offered full-time on campus at the Mt Gravatt campus. As a full-time student you will generally attend 12-17 hours of scheduled classes per week throughout the semester. Classes may be scheduled during the day and evening throughout the week. Professional recognition As a graduate, you will be eligible to apply for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. This qualification is recognised nationally and internationally.
