Master of Architecture/Master of Built Environment (Sustainable Development) - University of New South WalesProgram Code: 8133 Commencement: Semester 1 (March) or Semester 2 (July) Program Duration: 2 years Estimated Annual Tuition Fees: A$20,160 The Master of Architecture (Architectural Design)/MArch(Arch Des) and Master of Built Environment (Sustainable Development)/MBEnv (SustDev) degrees have distinctive yet complimentary emphases. The MArch(Arch Des) caters primarily to those interested in advanced architectural design and students are expected to have professional degrees in architecture. The MBEnv (SustDev) focuses on applying the principles of sustainability to design within the built environment. The combined program enables students to strategically select elective courses, allowing them to complete requirements for both degrees in 2 years (4 semesters). This is a reduction of one semester in the time it would normally take to complete both degrees separately. The combined program leads to the award of two degrees with two testamurs - MArch (ArchDes) and MBEnv(SustDev). Entry RequirementsA recognised four-year Bachelor degree in Architecture, and submission of a design portfolio, and personal and employer declarations. One year of post graduation professional experience in architectural practice is desirable.
