| COURSE DESCRIPTION |
This interdisciplinary course enables students to develop an understanding of the key features of international life. Connecting international economics, politics, strategy, culture, law and organisation, as well as international conflict and cooperation, the course draws upon both the past and present, and theory and empirical research, to understand the nature of international relations.
While gaining an overview of international relations, students are also encouraged to choose from a range of units which will enable them to specialise in a particular area (e.g. East Asia) or in a particular field (e.g. diplomacy, economy or legal studies).
Students are also required to complete core units at each year level. These include: - States, Nations and Security - Economy, Environment and Human Rights: World in Transition - International Public Policy - Professional Competence - Transition to the Workplace. This unit equips students to work with and for organisations that have a strong interest in international relations. |
