General Entry Requirements and Pre-requisites

Entry into the Certificate III requires the equivalent of Australian Year 10 with passes in English and either Discrete Mathematics, Applicable Mathematics or Calculus.

For Yr 10-11 and Yr 12 academic equivalence, please refer to the Entry Requirements Summary for your relevant country. This also details the normal English proficiency standard needed.


Career Outcomes

Graduates of this course may find employment as a technical officer in a commercial or industrial organisation associated with electrical power generation and general electrical engineering.


Further Study & University Options

Successful completion of the Diploma will allow entry to the Bachelor of Engineering at Curtin university with up to 12 months of credit (depending on the grades achieved).
