This qualification prepares students for employment as an Engineering Associate / Technical Officer. Students learn the skills on how to develop, select, commission, maintain and diagnose faults/malfunctions of electronic components/sub-assemblies, apparatus and systems.

General Entry Requirements and Pre-requisites

Entry into the Certificate III requires the equivalent of Australian Year 10 with passes in English.

For Yr 10-11 and Yr 12 academic equivalence, please refer to the Entry Requirements Summary for your relevant country. This also details the normal English proficiency standard needed.


Career Outcomes

Depending on the stage of completion, graduates can gain employment as an Engineering Associate or Technical Officer responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of systems such as a satellite communications system or the design and implementation of a microcontroller system.
