- primary planning, analysis and design, focused on complex electronic systems related to the hardware, control software and their inter-relationships
- identifying customer and client needs
- supervision and facilitation of the routine performance of these functions
- commissioning of advanced electronic systems and equipment
The program has specialised areas of study in microprocessor based systems, analogue systems and analogue and digital communication systems. | | Career Opportunities Graduates of this course may gain employment in the electronics industry in the design and development of electronics equipment and/or systems in both digital and analogue areas of electronics. | | Course Duration Two years | | Course Commencement Dates February | | Entrance Requirements | | Skills Recognition - Exemptions/Transfers Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers on the basis of previous qualifications. | | Pathways to Further Study Graduates of this course may be given exemptions by other tertiary institutions if they wish to continue with further study. The level of exemptions is determined by the individual tertiary institution on a case by case basis. | | Tuition Fees Year 1 - AU$9,000 Year 2 - AU$9,000 | | Assessment Methods Assessment in this program is conducted in two stages. Students must complete each module of underpinning knowledge by satisfactorily completing the required assignments and/or examinations to be eligible to attempt the relevant competency assessment. Each competency assessment consists of a number of actual/simulated work projects which must be satisfactorily completed to demonstrate competencies in the relevant workplace functions. | Materials - text books
