Working with children is an exciting career - no two days are ever the same. The Certificate in Education aims to enable students to gain confidence and competence in a range of abilities and skills necessary to work with children and families, in family homes as nannies, or as beginning educators in early childhood centres or primary settings. Late applications will be accepted if the programme is not full. (Please note that there is only a march intake for the Early Childhood Education, Pasifika Specialty) ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - NCEA: 48 Level 2 credits with 12 each of four subjects including 4 Level 2 credits in reading and 4 Level 2 credits in writing

- Interview, reference, police clearance, CV.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Applicants for whom English or Māori is not their first language are required to provide proof of an acceptable pass/grade gained in an accepted English language test. THE KEY SKILLS YOU WILL ACQUIRE This programme successfully integrates theory and practice in a variety of early childhood and primary settings, and has been developed specifically for settings within Aotearoa/New Zealand.
